Hobbies

What is everyone doing to get through the winter months?

Today is a blustery January day in Ohio. Blue skies, not a cloud anywhere, but the wind is howling.
I have the luxury this morning to be sitting in my pj's and drinking coffee (Niko goes to preschool and I pick him up at 11:00).
I have found over the last few months a renewed interest in counted cross stitch. It could have been the trip to New York in September and seeing Cuz Peg's wall of counted cross stitch or maybe the fact that I found a website that will convert my picture of Niko's first day of preschool into a counted cross stitch kit. The Preschool picture was to be a gift for Ally at Christmas. Of course it took way more time than I had allowed. The stitching is complete, just have to get it too the framer and then I will post a picture. It will be a great way to remember that very first day.
I am also moving forward with my idea to design comfortable pretty dresses for
larger little girls. My ideas and drawings are all on paper at the moment, however, I have the fabric and just need some measurements to get started. My best friend Glo, is researching a name for the designs. I like "just 4 ME by pc". I will see where this leads me.
Would love to hear what everyone else is doing, so post a comment.
